Supplier Analyst (21743)
Principal Directorate (PD) Procurement and Vendor Management plays an instrumental role in the day-to-day functioning of the EPO and, through its work, influences the Office's long-term financial, environmental and social sustainability. Effective procurement operations are critical to ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulatory requirements in view of the Office's prominent role as a leading European public administration organisation.

Procurement and Vendor Management strives to strengthen value-added business partnerships and continuously improve overall procurement service delivery.

The role
Procurement and Vendor Management is currently defining a detailed concept of and strategy for vendor management. For this purpose, the EPO is now seeking a supplier analyst to strengthen its vendor management, which includes monitoring vendor performance, ensuring the EPO attracts best-in-class vendors, proposing smarter decision-making mechanisms through better data quality and fit-for-purpose reporting as well as supporting close collaboration with internal stakeholder to provide an end-to-end service.

With us you will:
• establish and maintain impactful vendor relationships through a proactive approach
• monitor, measure and assess vendor performance and actively identify potential improvements in EPO contracts, notably based on vendor performance data, balanced scorecards and surveys
• collaborate with various internal teams within the EPO to prompt improvement initiatives
• develop and maintain procedures, including registration, performance evaluation, supplier risk and supplier audit to manage vendors and contractors
• ensure the EPO is kept updated with new initiatives and developments to build a best-in-class supplier relationship management system
• maintain oversight of large multi-faceted contracts, securing the delivery of financial benefits and demonstrating effective contract management, including contract extensions and modifications
• lead strategic and operational reviews, primarily with critical and high-risk vendors
• hold EPO suppliers accountable for timely delivery of the contractually agreed goods and services, within the endorsed budget
• stay informed about industry trends and market conditions, and perform market analysis to identify new suppliers, products and cost-saving opportunities
• propose actions to enhance EPO attractiveness for suppliers

Apply if you have:
• a master's degree in business administration or any other relevant discipline
• a deep understanding of procurement and contract management processes, markets, supply chains and pricing practices, ideally in different categories, such as IT, professional services, consultancy and facilities management.
• a proven track record of successfully managing key vendor relationships in an international organisation or multinational company
• the ability to negotiate with a diverse portfolio of suppliers
• an understanding of changing markets and how these impact the Organisation's contracts
• the demonstrable ability to sustain meaningful partnerships with a large variety of stakeholders within and outside the Organisation and to collaborate towards achieving successful business outcomes
• strong financial expertise
• a service-oriented mindset and can-do attitude to provide creative and fit-for-purpose solutions
